Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Because it's the best way to get to know the other students and share "a student life" while leaving really close to the school.

Despite the student residence should need some arrangements in terms of manteinance and modernization, it was pretty good and the price was quite acceptable. The location was perfect in terms of proximity with the school and the sport facilities, and also at only 15 minutes by bus from the city center.

Why?

Accomodation is OK. Not very impressing and old buildings form the 1960s, but you live together with most of the other exchange students. The rooms are pretty small, but you have a private bathroom. Also, you share the kitchen with six other students, it's well equiped and large enough to invite people for a party!

Arrangement was very easy, rooms where big enough with private toilet and shower. Kitchens were shared (this leads to some trouble some times) but well equipped and with a great view of the fiord. Internet connection was free and very fast. Rooms were also private. It was not a luxus place, but was comfortable and with a bit of things you could make your room really yours and welcoming!!

The location of the residences is really close to the school, and rent is cheap compared to off-campus living. Also, the atmosphere of the buildings is really fun - if you lived off-campus you'd miss out on a lot of the fun of having all your friends close by.

The set up of the residences is really well done - each group of 8-10 rooms has their own kitchen, which is perfect for dinner parties and pre-parties. The atmosphere of the buildings is really what makes it great, and it is facilitated by the set up, especially with the kitchens.

The residence was little bit far from the city center but very clos to the school. The rooms were good enough for one person and it was very nice to have a kitchen each six or seven rooms.

All the exchange students were living on campus which made it a very fun place to stay. Moreover I shared a kitchen with several Norwegian students which allowed to also get to know local people.

The accommodation is located close to the university, however it was located outside the city center (you had to go there by bus)
