I had not enough information from my home university, and had to contact directly the host university to get things done before coming (inscription, housing, etc.).

If I wanted to give advice to futur exchange students at the NUS, that would be: "Really enjoy life over there. Travelling to Malaysia or Indonesia is very easy and not expensive at all. You can easily meet many NUS students and keep a lot of contacts.

Local people usually speak madarin to each other, but they are al very fluent in English. There were absolutely no problem to communicate.
