Overall
I'm currently enrolled in a master's in Writing, Editing and Mediating at RUG, and it's everything I had hoped for. Great practical information and a career-focused approach.

“Avoid it at all costs”

Slovenia, Graduate
, 2020
Overall
The teachers are very limited in their competences, there is no room for independent thoughts even at more independent levels of education (you are supposed to recite what you learned in one and only one course, you are not allowed to combine knowledge from different courses OR you are to replicate other's studies, forget about creating your own). The professors are all very young and disinterested in your progress, their main aim is to earn money to further their own research and academic progress. There is too much emphasis on theoretical knowledge and research skills. The University offers literaly no marketable skills. Some professors are also speak very bad English and the administrative staff is just as lazy as it gets. A horror!

The courses of the Dutch Studies Programme are very easy and usually boring. But you get credits of them easily...

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Personal comments
Housing was arranged wery smoothly. No problems at all. Of course quality of the accomodation could have been better beacause I wasn't really living in a real house. "Containers", as we called them. But people and atmosphere were great!
