Personal recommendation
Ruhr Uni is a great University, but the social life of the Germans is not like in Italy or in Spain or in England. It´s sometimes really difficult to have a personal direct approach with a German. But, for example, the professor are all really nice and normally they give to you their full disponibility. The facilities here are really good and you don´t have to wait a lot of time for to have all what you may need. Overall, really good.

Final comments
The Ruhrgebiet is not really a great place to stay. If you´re searching for history, or if you want to go sightseeing that´s not really your place. But here are the facilities for to help the students to travel good and cheap, sometimes really cheap. In this area you can find 5 big cities but only 2 of them are really good: Düsseldorf and Essen. In one and a half hour you can reach Köln with the train, and in two hour driving you can be in Amsterdam. So It´s not that bad. Bochum is a calm city, with no particular attractions, except the "Bermuda Dreieck" that consist in a couple of street with a lot of pubs, cinemas and something else.

The room was small but really comfortable, and at the end I´m happy to stay there. Sometimes I need more space, but it was good as well ´cause I could reach all my stuff in a second!! No, really the accomdation was good.
