Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Because I would have more interaction with people of the country and because there would be more people and it often means more activities. Also, it ussually means close to the University and there are the libreries which are very important as a student.

It was fine. I cannor complain. I simply think it would have been a little better to live at the Campus.

I only spent a semester at the University, so naturally I didn't receive the best accomodation. However, in general I believe most housing at Heidelberg university is very good.

Housing
Type of housing: Shared housing with other students
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: same
Why?
I wanted to live with German students, whereas most Erasmus students stay in an international environment, which is very interesting, but doesn't really allow to meet local persons.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Close to the city, and there's more freedom to choose the type of lodging. Plus, the university has a service for students looking for housing, which is really helpful!

The only downside is that appartments are expensive...but there's something for every budget within a 25 minute bus/train ride...from what I've heard, student "dorms" are an interesting experience, but not too independent or comfortable

It was generally very inexpensive, but the accomodations were scattered, inconvenient and not very good sometimes.
