Campo dei Fiori is very overrated, try the big clubs that the locals go to, don't stick with the american bars like The drunken Ship and Sloppy Sam's. Try Alpheus or, if you have a car, the reggae place on the outskirts. Gregory's-on teh top of the spanish staps and to your right is also great.

At the university, all you need is Italian, unless you want to be part of the Italian crowd which, I dont suggest (well, if you like riding around in Mercedes and talking Via Condotti shopping) Out side it was ok, although the Italians dont mesh well with the Americans, it was kind of embarrassing being stared at for being an outsider. If you know the language, your ok but if not only the local pizza place might give you a break, no more than that though. Dont expact to make a lot of local friends-they dont want to mesh with you.

If you go, take weekenders to Florence and Venice. If you like history, go to Pompeii (south of Naples) for a nice walk.

Nope, I expected it. Although the free internet thing is a joke-I did spend goignt o internet cafès because I couldnt wait in line for hours for a free, slow, computer at school
