I was pleasantly surprised by Tilburg University. Coming from Stanford Online High School and the American College of Sofia, I expected something else entirely, but the modern campus and the engaging lecturers are definitely refreshing.

Everything at this university is well-organized so that you will never feel lost especially at the beginning of your stay. It is very easy to find friends from all over the world because of the high number of exchange students there.

Amsterdam is the most beautiful city in the Netherlands - you have to go there! Be careful of the housing organistion Wonenbreburg. A lot of my friends and also I had problems during my stay concerning extension of the contract or payment.

The specialization offered in Tilburg was a plus!

Overall
I really enjoyed my education in Tilburg, the level of education was decent and I liked how we could specialize during the bachelor. Sometimes it is a bit unorganized. They handled covid well.

The ESN (Erasmus Student Network) an organization of Dutch students that organized events and spent lots of time with foreign students, was exceptional. One of the best parts of my experience.

The city of Tilburg doesn't have a great reputation among the Dutch -- it is not as beautiful or famous as other Dutch cities. However, personally, I loved the city and have a fantastic experience there. Meeting and living with other foreign students from all over the world was certainly a great experience for all involved. If you go, enjoy adventures along the Red Cycling Path.

If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
The most exciting thing was to live with 16 other international students, simply social live, possibility to make friends were the most important factors why I consider it a good place to live.

Pretty good arranged, but there were two drawbacks: 1. I had to sign my contract with company WonenMiddenBrabant, which provides accommodation for foreign students on behalf of the university prior to see the room I was renting. They also arrange rooms for students outside the campus, so if you are not lucky, you will have to stay all period away from the campus. 2. The costs were much higher than for Dutch students for the same or even slightly worse type of accommodation, in my opinion too high. But overall it was pretty OK.
