It was a bit difficult in the begining but a real pleasure in the end to be so fluent in my second language and not having problems to express myself and to understand the others. It was also very interestong to learn another language and I want to improve my swedish now.

There are more than enough houses for students in Umeå
there are more and more private rooms in Umea. Cheaper and in many cases a very easy-going alternative. Another plus is you can always sleep at night. Got the room via an ad in the local newspaper Västerbottens-Kuriren.

Dont be afraid of the cold and the darkness. Teachers, the housing office and in general everybody are willing to help you so do not hesitate in ask for help!
