The first two or 3 weeks of classes were a littel overwhelming and the local accent was sometimes a littel to understand coming from some profs. I was surprised how fast i actually adapted and did not have much problems at all. The exchange cordinator was always there to help about any inquiries.

Spanish people are happy to teach you the language by talking, explaining and listening. If you just make a small effort to talk , you will learn the language easily.

In social situations, people had patience with the process of translation, however during class, the instructor was quite impatient and demanding.

I sought extra classes with the Instituto de Cervantes and received a Diploma outside of my compulsory university studies. I found work experience in a Public Relations department and as a radio DJ presenter in the host language in the host country. Learning Spanish has been a life enriching experience!
