Personal recommendation
They should not advertise the internship as secureley as they do given the fact that they haven't got a lot of options for students

Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why?
The university is not in the center of madrid. I wanted to go to the center to be more independent to do what I wanted to (in that case, you don't need any car) and to meet a maximum of people. And by the way, I wanted to learn Spanish. I achieved my goal by living with a mexican student and by associating with the Spaniards.

The advantage of the housing at the university is to live with other students and to meet different nationalities. It's easier to create new relationships quickly but, in my case, it wasn't enough to make me live out of the city.

Madrid is the city that never sleeps. In the first semester, try to go to the erasmus meeting to make good friends then you'll quickly discover that there are 1000 of spots to go out. Cool zones include : Huertas (cerca de Sol), it's known as the tourist zone but spanish people go there too. - Torre de Europa, close to the Bernabeu stadium and Avenida del Brasil - Malasaña for a younger ambiance - Kapital, the huge club, close to the "Atocha" metro My fav places are: Gabana 1800, Torero, Touché, Ludwig, Tequila, Joy eslava...so much places !!

Depending on the type of club you like. I recommend Gabanna - private members club; Cool - excellent vibe and people; Coyote - excellent;Space of sound - the music, vibe is absolutely amazing here, you have to try it at least once when you are Madrid. This club should have more recognition on the International scene because its not in Ibiza, New York or London its underrated. I think its much better than Ministry in London! I love partying in Madrid....you can rave from Friday through to Monday afternoon - I have! I now do PR for the club Coyote.
