Personal recommendation
Thius may sound bad, but I would recommend you to ask your teachers to sign out somewhere saying you've been to their classes and passed the exam. I'm having troubles because a teacher lost my exam and I have no way to prove that I've done it!

Final comments
I would recommend you not to pay too much attention to the expences. I mean, save where you can save (food, housing, etc), but do not keep yourself from traveling, going out and stuff like that. Don't fall in love (lol) and do not stay at home!!! You'll regret it, that's for sure!

Learning new languages is a wonderful thing to me. I would like to say, although the language of instruction and the language of the city are both catalan, a lot of people there speek spanish and you have no problems at all if you don't know catalan (only in some classes, nut they let you write your exams and your works in spanish). I didn't learn much catalan, but my spanish improved A LOT!

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because of the independency you have in an apartment, and also the unbelievable experience of searching for a place in Barcelona by yourself

I've been to a lot of places but I'm not good with names, though. I recommend the Plazas of Gracia, they are always full with young people, at night. Try Plaza del Sol! Of course you'll also have to know Boveda, Razzmatazz and La Paloma.
