Universidad Rey Juan Carlos

My experience as International Relations student in the Rey Juan Carlos Univeristy has been totally favorable. The teaching itinerary has been developed in area of law, political management, knowledgment of international affairs, security, economy and languages. 
Besides these knowledges, I had last year the opportunity to live one semester abroad as an exchange student of the Erasmus initiative. I lived in Bremen, Germany for 5 months, and I was able to improve my English level as well as my German level. I can speak fluently in both languages. Moreover, this experience let me open my mind barriers, to adapt myself to a different atmosphere, and enjoy of the multicultural environment that gave me a complete experience.
I am quite interested in international organizations, and as a young student, I strongly consider young people must involucrate themselves and take part in society. Our roll must be active, and in order to get that, the best opportunity is firt making a proper Internship placement.

La URJC es una universidad muy comprometida con la incorporación de sus estudiantes en talleres, actividades externas y eventos que fomenten la inclusión de estos en el mercado laboral.

Además está muy comprometida con los idiomas, exigiendo unos niveles para cursar Plan Erasmus y Plan Munde.

En cuanto a tecnología, la universidad brinda un portal digital para sus estudiantes y profesores muy amplio y descriptivo, utilizando diferentes herramientas y TICs para proporcionar una buena gestión de clases así como una buena administración de secretaría.

This university gives you the opportunity to further your education through practical courses and programs either in your home country or abroad. It must be highlighted that the number of foreign students ir increasing every year, which widens your perspective as you have the opportunity to meet all kinds of people. The environment and the studying facilities are great, and the resources you need such as books and advise from your professors are also easily delivered to you. To sum up, the university has a platform that helps you find a job up to three years after you have completed your studies.

La carrera de Relaciones Internacionales es realmente interesante y te ofrece amplios conocimientos de la materia. La Universidad Rey Juan Carlos está especializada en la rama política de Relaciones Internacionales, razón por la que elegí esta universidad. Enfocada en la seguridad y la defensa, la protección de derechos humanos y la diplomacia internacional principalmente, cuenta con profesores de alto nivel. Por otro lado, algunos maestros no les importan los alumnos, seguramente porque llevan muchos años dando clases, y se basan en leer 4 diapositivas.

Personalmente mi experiencia fue positiva, aunque no me involucré tanto en la vida universitaria como tal. Sí es cierto que el campus de Vicalvaro no ayuda ya que no tiene mucho ambiente universitario ni estudiantil. En cuanto a las gestiones, la capacidad de resolver mis consultas y dudas, la universidad siempre ha estado dispuesta a echarme una mano y solventarlo con rapidez. También hay algunos profesores muy buenos.
