I wish I had known...
Yes, the international economic crisis: Spain was (is) really affected by it and when i finished my erasmus projecti couldn't find an occupation there in Madrid.

Overall

It is the Spanish Hard-On-Welcome. Might seem frightening the first time, but you'll end up loving it

It is a good university to stay. You can learn a lot. ANd they have a high standard in what they offer: Internet, sport and so on.

You should travel, if you have the time. It is the best time to see a lot of this beautiful country. And Spain is not so expensive to travel. Other things are, that it is good to take cosmetic from home and not to buy it in Spain- very expensive. If you have problems with your stomache, take care and not drink the water there. Although is ok, but not to drink.

I wish I knew before that you have examens and essays during the year. I'm not justed to that so in the beginning it was hard to adapt that habitat to work every day I bit for school

I think they have to talk to their profesores because some of them really don't like erasmus or foreign people. And I'm convinced we earn an equal treatment but they can try to understand that we have a rather hard time because of a new language

In the beginning everything is a bit weird. The school seems a bit like a high school because of the many tasks you have to do but after a month of 2 you will feel like you have done this allways. When you go on erasmus you HAVE to travel and visit a lot of cities. This is a wonderful chance to discover not only the study where you study but also other cities and cultures

The people that work at the international department in San Pablo CEU should speak better English and try to help out more! Nothing was arranged for in advanced. We had to do everything ourselves: Finding a place to stay, arranging classes and talk to professors, ...

Do not try to understand everthing immediately, don't get frustated in the beginning when you don't understand people. Do not start studying in the first months, spend time exploring the country and its culture, meet and go out with locals and erasmusstudents... You will learn so much more and before you know you will be fluent and will be able to finally study in Spanish. Copy notes from a smart spanish student and ask help from your professors if needed. Always go to all the classes, you will learn a lot and they appreciate it if you at least show interest and are motivated to learn!
