Because living with people you don't know can sometimes give some problems in cleaning the house for example and noise. I prefer to live on my own or only with two persons.

I had to found housing on my own, but the university does have some information about housing. And for the people who stay one year on the university they have more possibilities.

As mentioned above, the university didn´t get involved in my search, but I heared from my friends that in Spain, if you live on the campus, you normally don´t have a kitchen neither a washing machine but everything will be prepared by the staff.

Eventhough you had to look an apartment yourself, there's a list at the university with adresses of great rooms and apartments. So this can help you a lot

Because I learnt a lot when I lived in an appartment with people from all over the world. I became more responsable, open-minded, self organized,...! It was one of my best experiences ever!!

There is little or no support, so you're on your own. The hunt in Madrid to find somthing can be difficult, so one needs to be persistent.
