Ribera Este is the nicest nightclub I've been to in my entire life! Check out a soccer game and learn some tango. Bs As has got some of the best ice cream, in Recoleta and Palermo there are some great 'heladerías'. Do try and see more than just Bs As though (eg Mendoza, Salta, Bariloche etc) - the country is beautiful and has a lot to offer.

Other sources of funding:
Family
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
In the categories in which I spent less I did so because prices in Argentina concerning these categories arr lower. I spent more for housing because in Viena I live at home & therefore don´t have to pay for it. I payed more for travelling in Argentina than in Austria because I travelled a lot more than I usually do in Austria.

Languages
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: At ease in most situations
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
My Spanish was good before going to Bs As but I wasn't prepared for how different the Spanish spoken in Argentina is from the one spoken in Spain. My first month was very difficult but then it all got easier gradually. I've got no problems communicating now (but I still have to concentrate a lot while listening though!).
