In tyhe beginning it was hard because when i arrived in spain my spanish was at a basic level: In the last half year my spanish improved a lot and and in the next 6 month I hope to improve my spanish so that I will be able to speak it fluently

Study abroad as much as possible-- as an American it's almost impossible to get a visa if you're not a student.

the more i forced myself to practice the language, the easier it got. don't worry about making mistakes. just talk. also force yourself to speak the language of the country even when you are around others who speak your own languange

it's so cheap there. i didnt have to pay for food or houseing (it was all included in the cost of tuition). the only thing i spent money on was fun stuff!
