The school helps you with finding accomodation. However, it is very easy to find it on your own, there are flyers all over the city.

The only thing I didn't know was that second semester doesn't begin until February. This way you have from around Dec.19 until February free.

It is great! El centro de lenguas modernas, part of the University of Granada is specifically steered towards foreigners, so you are not competing with native Spaniards.

Final comments
Try finding accomodations with people from other countries, not your native country and not people who speak your language - this way you will be forced to speak Spanish, and you'll learn about other cultures and languages, and best of all you'll meet great people.
