Find an "intercambio" where you meet with a spanish and you talk first an hour spanish and then an hour in any language you aggreed on. That way you learn about the culture, the language and they can learn from you!

Overall

Personal comments
I can not evaluate housing at the university of Granada, because I have no personal experience with that. My impression was that it is better to look for a room in a shared flat or family.
