Porto is full of perfect places to spend time, to talk with friends, to dance, to get to know new people. We lived in Foz, it's a district near the ocean so I can start with this area. Near our residence there was a pub BONAPARTE. The staff who work there was really nice, aspecialy one waitress who is half portuguese half german. It's a kind of duplex. On the first floor there is a restaurant. You can buy a pinte fo 3 euros. The outlook of this place is also nice because walls are full of old glasses, dolls, posters, and many other things which u cannot find anywhere. It was our second home for a half a year. The second place in Foz was PRAIA DA LUZ. It is placed near the ocean. You can olso seat outside and watch the sunsets.Meia de leite is for 1,5 euros. Inside there is even a fireplace which works during winter. Sometimes there are reagge parties but by day it's mainly a restaurnat. The fird perfect place in Foz is PRAIA DOS INGLESES.It's also near the ocean and walls of this place are made from glass. And also ALFAMA.It's a brasilian clb-pub where on Fridays there is a live brasilian music. Caipirinia is for 5 euros and you can also buy strawberry caipirinia. It's perfect when you go there with your friends. In the centre there are a lot of clubs and pubs. TANDINIA-it's near the Plaza Liberdade; one beer is for 1 euro; you can listen to all kinds of music. but mostly it's an alternative music. There are a lot of young people. But be carefull with bags and don't leave them everywhere. Because someone stole my cell phone when I left it on the chair. MOU MOU- it's a typical place for erasmus students. It's quite big. You can dance because there is a lot of place. Transe, techno, electronic music, drum'n'bass etc You can spend there all night and forget about all world. BAZAAR-it's placed near the river and I really like it. It has about 3 or 4 floors. On the last one there is a tarase where u can seat and talk. There are a lot of rooms so u can get lost. Music is perfect, mostly they have live music (dj's). VIA RAPIDA-it's a big club and very crowded. Till 2 o'clock there is noone so it's useless to come before 2. You won't find any place to seat because noone is seating. At 4 o'clock there are so many people that you cannot make any move. VOUGE-it's placed near Via Rapida but I like it much more. The design of this place is better. It's bigger but also too crowded. There are places for VIPs where you can eat something for free and drink but it's difficult to get there. Dj's are perfect but there is no place to seat and talk. They have an air conditioning but it's common in almost every big club...

The old Porto is very nice to drink sth. You can go near the ocean (Foz da Luz) too. To go out, to go dancing, they is good places in Matosinhos. Porto is a very beautiful city with a lot o monuments or places to visit. You can take a guide book and be a tourist for some days... The cities near Porto are interesting too.

1. The gyms we went to were Premier group-one of the best in town! The coaches were so good, almost all Brazilians, and the classes they gave were so different from my country's aerobics! The best courses were dancing-hip hop, funk, mtv dance and aerodance 2. Another healthy way is Capoeira-brazilian mix of dance and fight done to Birimbao music, very widespread in Portugal 3. The biggest event NOT o be missed is definitely Queima Das Fitas-a student party week which symbolizes the end of the study year and takes place in May. The main day is Tuesday when there is Cortejo (student parade)-a greatest part y ever!!! 4. Lady's nights in most of the Porto clubs-the entrane for ladies and 2-3 any cocktails for free! 5. A cafe called Barrigas-the huge porions for everhungry students for the normal price

NIGHT: Ribera (many places, such as Aniki Bobo, ...); Boavista ( O Laberinto); CAFE(coffe is great in Porto):Praia da Luz, Cafeina (They are expensive). Many cities around to be visited if possible: Coimbra, Guimaraes, Ponte de Lima,... Ribera and all the old part is a very nice place to walk through. Also the Porto wine caves.
