Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Personal comments
I found this apartment shared with other students through a list at my host university
winters in Portugal get cold because most apartments do not have heating.
Most other students also lived in apartments: I think it is a great opportunity to get an impression of the "normal" life.

Academic
Course recommendations
Remember ground school? When the teacher was writing everything on the blackboard an you had to copy? If you want to have a revival take 'Seminar in European Economics'! The other courses were more or less okay.

There is housing on campus at the residencial housing but I would not recommend it as it is shared rooms and rather far away from the center.

Expenses
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant
Other sources of funding:
Family
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
I spent more because it was the first time I was leaving by my own, not in my family anymore. I had to pay everything. I travelled a lot, and called often my friends in Lisbon and my family. But in general, life was cheaper in Lisbon than in Brussels.
