The best places to go out at night are in Bairro Alto, but also in Alfama you can find little "Tascas" where local people sing "Fados", the traditional music from Portugal. The village you can't miss is Sintra, near Lisbon, with the most incredible palace I've ever seen and a castle with very nice views. In Lisbon everything is beautiful, but if you don't know all the "Miradouros" you can't say you know the city.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because I like to have an independent life from university, I like to share the house with different people, but with rules we decide, not imposed (as in residences)

All I know is that even if the accommodation at the university was cheaper, you had to share the room, and I didn't like it

When I arrived I couldn't say a word.I had thought it was going to be easier being spanish, but I found that not only I wasn't able to say anything, but I couldn't even understand. This was the first month, then I started to understand easily and finally learnt to pronounce more or less as they do. I think, knowing other languages helped me a lot, especially french, because it sounds similar.
