Although when I first arrived in Italy I had to go to some italian friends house, I was able to chance do the Erasmus residence 3 months later which was great. The responsables for the erasmus services there in Turin, were very helpful.

Personal comments
Students can eat at the Mensa, which is really cheap and the food is quite good. If you plan to visit museums, you can buy the Abbonamento Musei: you'll be able to visit about 70 museums in Torino and Piemonte for just 20 Euro.

Personal recommendation
I loved every minute that I was in Torino and today I wish I was still there. Best part was that I made American friends and Italian that will last a lifetime. Just this last winter two of my Italian friends visited me in America and again it was the best time of my life. I cannot wait to move back to Italy.

Final comments
My only advice is to make as many friends as possible because when you are down or not feeling well they will surely take care of you. I never really understood what friendship meant until you live in a foreign country. Also experience everything because you never know when you can return.
