Being immersed in French on a daily basis - from television to storekeepers to magazines - forced me to live mostly in French. My fluency increased, and the language became more second-nature and natural. Communicating became easier and I grew to improve in both written and spoken French.

Paris is a very big town where you can find lots of places to go out. There are many partys offered to foreing students in big discos. In the web www.parisbouge.fr all the information about nightlife is offered. Personally, I loved the small bars at Bastile, Overkampf and Belleville.

Some really cool bars and pubs around Montmartre or Bastille. All events and places not to be missed are listed in special magazines (e.g. Pariscope). If you have the chance go and visit a concert at the Eiffel Tower (unfortunately concerts there are not very often).
