Faculty of Economics is upgrading fast
Andrea V
Italy, Undergraduate
Business Studies
Overall
I am ending my study of Business Administration & Economics in one year, and I have to say that during this time I have seen my faculty improving day by day. Still, there is some bureaucracy  to  overcome, but i am enjoying my stay there overall.
The secretariat is helpful and open-minded, some professors are really great with an international curricula.
Regarding the quality, well, it's really hard to study everything properly and obtaining high grades (I have 3.80 GPA) but i think that it gives an added value.
One major cons, it's still too theoretical for my xpectations(like the most Itlian universities) and I'm copying with that by having other experiences. (However, they are starting to give us the opportunity to attend to mmore practical extra activities)

Impactful and internationalized University

Tor Vergata University is the top one in Rome (and among the best 5 in Italy) for economic studies: it's the only public university in Rome that offers bachelor's degrees and masters of science 100% taught in English: that is why the percentage of foreign students is very high, also due to the big international network that only Tor Vergata has, both with foreign Universities and parter-firms. Tor Vergata is much more focused on placement and practical activities than the other Rome's Universities, keeping a high level of teaching which is proved by the Excellence certificate recognized by the State.

Firstly, the career service center is very helpful and supportive for international students as well as native students.
Secondly, the teachers are very well qualified, willing to answer any queries from students.
Thirdly, 80% of the program covers general topics such as Accounting, Organizational Dynamics and behaviors, Finance, General Management. 20% of the program is dedicated to the specialization that you choose.

If u know Italian, have a car and already know someone at Tor Vergata then the university might just be great, otherwise choose a country where student activities are a startingpoint for social life!

Final comments
Tor Veragata - Try to find an appartment close to the University since it is not close to Romes center, and the public traffic is not the best. Try to contact your mentor way before u leave for Italy so that u can have him/her to organize half of the things, so that when you arrive you have time to socialize and study!

Tor Vergata State University is a top university in Italy thanks to the quality of the courses offered, which cover multiple disciplines and prepare the students for the professional world as well.  The various programmes and initiatives promoted by the institute give extra formation opportunities to the enrolled students.

Pros
Location: green fields and quiet surroundings, new buildings. Professors: highly qualified and passionate, really caring of their students.
Cons
Some classrooms are too small and the total number is not enough to cover the actual need of rooms for the classes. Courses schedule is often unorganised. It is pretty hard to get in contact with the offices if not in person.
