Passeggiata (a walk) on the main square late at night; Umbria Jazz Festival; Numerous beautiful towns and villages all around Umbria (the region Perugia is capital of).

I was accomodated in 3 different student houses sequentially; the facilities and space differ substantially, however, all are of good quality. Not all offer kitchen facilities, none offers laundry facilities.

Italian was surprisingly easy to learn throughout the year, with almost no language-course experience; Italians are weak English speakers, and it is essential to learn the local language to be able to communicate fully.
