Personal recommendation
To increase the role of the tutor that was handed out to each foreign students. A bit of more support with the choice of courses is preferable.

I strongly recommend everyone to study in Bologna! Once you go there are a few things that never can be forgotten;
- Enjoy the food, the region of Emilia Romagna is famous for their food culture.
- Travel, Bologna i situated central in the northern part of Italy and by train you get the best oppertunity to discover large parts of the country for a small expense.
- Housing, the association Bussola, located at via Zamboni provides good support in the search of an appartment.

Bologna is well located, very close to the good places to go in Italy, one hour from Florence, 2 from Milan and Venice..and you can get discounts with what they call the " train green card".

I totally recommend it, meanwhile, there´s too much Erasmus, which makes things more difficult to gather all. Exchange students were a bit sccattered by countries, and residentials.

I have vistited Bologna in the past so there were not any great surprises. I would have attempted to resolve a lot of registration issues before I arrived.

Puntocasa is a good agency in order to find private housing.
Go to the G. Marconi airport rather than airport in Forli as if you have not visited Bologna beforehand you will not know that Forli is quite a distance from the university.
Join the sports clubs. Although it is not as well organised as the University of Kent in England there are a lot of excellent sports clubs.
I have made several lifetime friends.
Get private accommodation in the centro storico of Bologna!

“Studying in Bologna”

Overall
I would definitely recommend the universities of Italy and Bologna precisely to other students because it is the place to further your education for the reasons that it is well organised, equipped, the programs are many with a high number of English ones thus, you just have to choose which one suits you best , the professors are open to discussion and you also have the possibility to have study grants both in Italy from the University or ER.GO and out of Italy like the Erasmus. If you wish to come to Italy or Bologna for a study purpose, my answer is yes come and I would assure that you will not regret your decision and of course you will also have some work to do on your part for the experience to be best. I received the ER.GO full study grant for studies, and it was very helpful most especially for housing which is something very difficult to get here in Bologna. As advice I would recommend to always visit their website to be up to date and provide/do all the necessary things to be done on time and if you are stuck, ask for help from the qualified office which is always ready to help. Also, the University of Bologna offers a very nice follow up of prospect students in most cases and thus It will be very judicious to think of this before coming to Italy. Concerning the language barrier, don’t worry many Italians speak good English from my experience and also being a very touristic country there is always a way out you just need to have the zeal and as they say ‘no pain no gain’.

Usually there are no course works during the semester, so study a couple of hours every week to have a bit easier at the end of term, some exams are tough
