I wish I had known...
to be more fluent in the language because at the beginning was difficult

Mitfahrzentrale, web-site on which people travelling by car advertised themselves to share travel expenses. Länder tickets, to travel by train with group of people

There should be night courses. In the second semester I have made a traineeship a I would like to have attended some subjects in the University. German subjects should occur 2 or 3 times in thw eek and not omly one.

Final comments
There is a lot pf places that you can visit in Saarland (Bostal See, Saarschleif, Deutsch-Französicher Garten, ...). We are near from France and Luxembourg. Through the University, you call also travel to other german cities or countries (very cheap!!).

Cheaper way of life in Germany as in Sweden. The travel costs were more as I travelled a lot during my stay in Saarbrucken.
Travel:
was more expensive than at home.

Final comments
Try and mix with teh local student body as much as possible. Other excahnge students are helpful too, but I believe it is better to have both german abd non-german friends
