Universität zu Köln (UNIKOELN)

The reason why I spent less on food is that this is generally cheaper than back home. My telephone bill also was reduced, mainly because most of the students found it a bit hard to speak German in the telephone. Accomodation is quite expensive in Cologne, especially when you want to live close to everything which I did. I also spent a lot on travelling because there is a lot to see in the middle of Europe.

I spent more on accomodation because the school did not find a place for me in a campus, but a room in an appartment, which is normally more expensive. The food is cheaper in Germany then in Denmark. The phone expenses were lower then in Denmark, as I used no mobile phone while I lived in Germany. The train prices are similar to Denmark, so i spent the same amount on travelling.

I spent more than at home, because Germany is more expanceve in general than Czech republic

Well in terms of nightlife, I'd spend more, because drinks were usually more expensive and in Porto, I manage to get a lot of free drinks.

The rent was a bit higher that at home and I travelled around in the weekends to see different places in Germany.

Wanted to taste things and do things that wouldn't have chance to do anywhere else. Just took opportunity to do new things.
