In Lyon III u will meet a lot of friends from allover the world! If u want to meet some Frenchs, its possible too, but u have to try harder! Try to organise some social events for ur international friends, thats the best way of meeting people! University organises some parties but u wish to have more oportunities..

Lyon is situated in the center (more less :)) of France which gives u an opportunity to discover that amazing country.. Paris, Nice, Monaco, Chamonix are just few hours away, visit Annecy and Perouges, take a weekend off and go to Barcelona or Amsterdam! If u are a student u can travel really cheap!
Take camera for fete de lumiere (Dec 8th), have a beer in Smoking Dog, make a picnic in the park, watch the match of Olimpique! In the winter go skiing to TROIS VALLEYS, in summer-suntan in Antibes! :)

French is pretty difficult so if u won't work hard on it u will never get to know how to communicate in France.. Frechs will definatelly not help u with it..

Dorms organised by Lyon III were extremely expensive. We had to organise hosting by ourselves, which wasnt very easy.. Frenchs werent very helpful, knowledge of English very poor and conditions of renting-terrible (huge bond, 1 year rent, letters, papers, French citizens...)

Vieux Lyon rocks! :) most beautiful and charming area i know, parties in cafe ORANGE and smoking dog. Boats on the Rhone are good party spots too. U gotta go to the park, stad de gerland and to see the city from basilique de la Fourviere!!
