If you like the country and the culture, its a nice experience. general level at the university is not too high, language acquisition can be improved by joining cultural and sport activities for students, and additional classes at the Defle institute (especially people who are not too proficient in the French language

Final comments
choose between inexpensive lodging ad the university, but quite out of town; or more expensive appartments in the city center, which is mmmuch more fun. Look for roommates who search for cohabitants to share an appartment.
