To have a good level infrench is necesary because professors don't make differences between local and international students. Most of the french students help you with any language problems.

The most striking was that French students communicate in a parallel language :) They use a lot of slang. It's extremely difficult to understand what they're saying.

If you don't want to speak frecnh you can get away with not speaking in Paris. Be determined to speak it if you want to improve.
