Academic
Course recommendations
At least for me the priority was to learn how to speak french really, and then it's a good idea to take courses where you have to work in teams. There are two reasons; first, that's how you get to know local students, and second, it helps you a great deal to passe the courses. The local students knows how to work and what the teachers expect to get good grades.

Personal comments
As (almost) always, it's the bureaucracy that causes the problems, if there are any. Furthermore, the teachers were often very late to let the students know the results of the exams, which could be very annoying. For instance, if you don't know the results of the midterm exams when you're supposed to study for the final ones.

Personal spending habits
I lived in Paris, which offers an exciting nightlife and it's more expensive overall to live there. That I spent more on telephonecalls depends on the fact that I was abroad and my family not, but also that the people mostlys uses mobile phones, and I got many new contacts.

The so called Gala Dauphine, which takes place only once every year and can't be missed! At Dauphine, the student associations organize lots of journeys, studentevenings and lots of other events which are always very amusing and with a great atmosphere.
