Personal comments
The problem is that most local students come from Marseille or somewhere outside Aix. Therefore, everyone is going home and it is very difficult to socialise with other student. Erasmus students in general have more or less to deal with the university sytem on their own. The university don't seem to care much what we are doing. There are nice pubs and lots of cafe'. the town is beautiful and offers quite a lot. However, unless you have lots of money, it is very difficult to enjoy all the nice bars, resturants, nightclubs etc. There is on Cinema (I think it was calles Mazarin) where they showed films in original language with French subtiteles. This is definitely a place to go! To get to the beach (usually crowded)you have to travel a bit though. The Provence is lovely. Eveywhere you go it smells of lavender
