its apparently very hard and costs alot for the spanish students to attend, but no better really than my cheap community college at home, which is actually just amazing

Languages
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: No problems in any areas (including slang)
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
Although language of instruction at graduate level is English, a basic knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan is useful as administrative matters are usually dealt with in those languages. Furthermore, most positions as teaching assistants require the ability to lecture in Spanish.

It is a great university and there are a ton of options for international students. My professors were easy to understand but my spanish level is pretty proficient.

It will be one of the greatest things you experiance if you open yourself up to interacting with the locals. Don´t be afraid to go out and meet new people. If you are open people will be open to you. I also did not encounter any anti-american sentiments as many people claim to have encountered.

“Internacional, pero demasiado abstracta y poco aplicada”

Spain,
Economics, 2023
Overall
