That's wonderful... really hard if you are coming from an Italian university. The educational system is totally different, new.

I would have done it for a longer period but I couldn't. I stayed there for the maximal time I could. It is not important what you learnt... of course it is also important... but what's best is that you can experience a new way of life. You can live with other people in you same situation. The relationship with these people become so strong.

The Maastricht experience
Milda M
Netherlands, Graduate
Area, Ethnic, and Cultural Studies, 2018
Overall
The campus of Maastricht uniquely was all over the city, making every trip from the faculty to the library, for example, refreshing. The teachers, always ready to help, guided our PBL (problem based learning) sessions with ease, confident that the students have prepared the assignment to discuss. Discussions were centered around relevant contemporary topics, such as: philosophy, politics, and more concretely for me - media, its influence on an individual and society alike. The experience was a perfect balance between working together and individually, which helped shape critical thinking and an open understanding of the ever-changing world around us.

Personal spending habits
The basic cost of living is higher in Holland than China. The biggest cost is accommodation - occupied almost half of my monthly expenses here. Food is expensive too than in China, especially if you want to go to Chinese restaurant and buy Chinese ingredients for cooking at home.
