Personal spending habits
Going out was cheaper so that was nice. However, I spent a lot on travelling so this more than balanced out. Because I shopped at local markets instead of the supermarket, I found the food to be better quality and less expensive than home.

The Universiteit Maastricht is the best university for (international) business administration in the Netherlands and one of the best in Europe. You will learn a lot of interesting things, but you have to work hard and more important regularly!

“LLM International and European Tax Law”
Cecilia A
Netherlands, Graduate
Law, International, 2020
Overall
International course with students from Europe and abroad. It is all taught in English.
The course provides subjects in international tax law, with a focous in the european context.
The buildings have a great structure for the classes and also tutorials (each subject has at least on explanatory class and a tutorial with less students to discuss weekly topics).
The library, although is not on the Law facility, is near and provides enough space for individual and group studies.

Pros
Provides a good knowledge of international tax, VAT and TP
Cons

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
We lived in the Guesthouse of the University. That was the best part of all - you meet new people, you communicate, you make contacts, you try to find time to study and so on. Overall, private housing when on Erasmus is not a good option. Its better to be with the other students and relate to them all.

Personal comments
The Guesthouse is great. Its at a perfect location - just a few minutes off uni, it has all the amenities one might need, including own TV, clipboard, wireless and so on. There are many facilities available and there is security and clerks 24/7. Everything is taken care off.
