Personal recommendation
Courses were quite a lot of work for many students I talked to, so you should be prepared that you can't party all the time if you want to bring home decent grades. Or choose not too many courses!

Final comments
Definitely visit Amsterdam! Also The Hague, Rotterdam, Cologne and Brussels are not too far and worth a visit!

I love Dutch, it's a very intersting language and not too difficut to learn for German speakers. I also made progress with my English, of course.
