Shop from big retail chains. Bring clothes, shoes, stationery & computer from home. However you can get a secondhand TV, tape/CD player, etc. cheap.

The local supermarket (Sainsbury's) was the biggest and the cheapest in town ; however quality food is more expensive than in the french supermarkets ! You can find great quality food at Waitrose too.
