The accomodation is very nice, clean but expensive. But that is the UK! I also had to pay extra for internet connection, washing mashine. And the heating wasn't always on.

Why?
To live in an independent Apartment/House is fine, but not in the town's suburbs, like I did. I would choose to live closer to the town center, so to have better connections to the university, to shops and to friends.

It was very difficult to find a good apartment, because in England you can't find a housing if you are not in a group (and I came alone to Bath). The university does not give an apartment to exchange students who stay less than a year in Bath. But the accommodation office of the university provides everybody with a list of free apartments/rooms in Bath and surroundings. Prices for rooms are very high.

as an exchange student you probably end up in Thornbank Gardens. This building is modern and decent and not too far away from the city. It is next to the railway though, have to get used to that...
