Personal spending habits
Food is simply more expensive. Accomodation is more expensive because in my home country I live at home. Nightlife is more expensive both for food and for drinks. On the other hand, the amount of studies is very demanding and this makes nightlife more rare.

I wish I had known...
I have been lucky because I came here during the summer to have a look before moving to study. It is important to know if you live on campus or off campus because then in the second case the option of having a car is fundamental!

It is a wonderful place for an Erasmus experience because there is plenty of opportunities to have fun and develop new activities and interests. If you come for academic reasons then of course it depends on the quality of the specific department you are applying for!

The study rhythm is very intensive and demanding, expecially postgraduate. Social life is very good as well, so overall it is a place I would recommend.

Personal comments
The experience is satisfactory. The community of international student is very large and, particularly, for postgraduate studies students are almost all international, while English people are more present in the undergraduate studies. As being a postgraduate student, I have less contacts with English students and this makes the communication also easier because you deal less with native speakers, slangs and dialects.

I don't live in a university owned accomodation but in the private sector. Yet, the university has provided me with a list of private sector accomodations which standard are constantly checked by the University and the quality is satisfactory.
