Try to travel on your own for at least a week or two, its frightening at first (especially if you are a woman, like me) but you gain an incredible sense of independence and self-confidence

It has a good reputation for the mineral engineering studies I took there. The lecturers are easily approachable to discuss both academic and personal issues. The facilities in the university are very good and there are lots of social events within/around campus.

it was lovely experience for me both academically and socially. I have made lots of friends in a short while. I learnt alot from my coursemates and flatemates. It is an experience every student should have during his/her studies

Greatest 4 years of my life

Overall
The university's campus is beautiful, all of the facilities are very good and modern. Although, the main campus is built on a place that is very hilly. There are many university provided accomodations for first year students, but they differ greatly in quality. In my opinion, the best self-catered accomodation is Lafrowda because of its design as well as being in the ideal location on campus. All of the lecturers are hard-working individuals, who have a passion for their fields. In general, the city is not great however it has a large train station with access all over the country, and because it is mainly filled with students you barely even notice.

I wish I'd learned more about cooking before living in self-catering accommodation! But I made out all right -- I had kind Spanish and Italian friends. :)

I think that if you look for it, you can find a lot of things to complain about, but if you focus on the overall experience, you couldn't ask for a better place than Exeter. The student life is great, the countryside is beautiful, and the opportunities to travel are plentiful.

One important bit of advice is to get a student rail and/or coach card as soon as possible! The train and bus fares are very expensive otherwise.

An incredibly beautiful university leading the way in some areas of study.

Overall
The university is fantastic with a beautiful campus that instantly feels like home. You feel relaxed by the thousands of trees and beautiful rolling green hills that surround the central campus hub.

The lecturers and teaching is great- I Iook back fondly on the level of education and approach to students. You are given autonomy and independce but encourages and pushed where necessary. I did find some lectures were better than others and often  it was down to my learning style and engagement.

Exeter has an amazing careers office in the Forum hub on campus with great advice even up to two years after graduation. They helped me find some internships too - I am truly grateful.

Exeter university works as a campus, i.e. you can spend all your time there and it is easier to meet people from everywhere
