Generally my experience was good eventhough I was not the one who choose the University but my college. I believe that it needs work and impovement to consider and recommend this university to other people not so much for the academic point of view but for it's location ( Hull - very poor place ) .Good luck then and take under consideration our comments.

The most educational years of my academic experience.
The Lecturers were very supportive. I was not a science students but their patience turned me into one. Today I hold a PhD all thanks to their tenacity and patience with me.
I met students from various countries. The Home based students were very friendly and made us feel at home. During Holidays they extended a warm hospitality to us foreign students. together with one student we spend Christmas holiday at Telford with Sally's family .
Although there were no boarding facilities on the Grimsby Campus, suitable accommodation on private properties was provided at affordable costs. This enabled us to study comfortably and I managed to bring home an upper second class (2:1) Honors degree in Nutrition with Food Science.

Points forts
Very educational experience studying and exploring not only the UK, but some parts of Europe. I visited The Netherlands and Germany. My mother Fiancee' and sister also visited
Inconvénients
Too far from home. No Extra Mural activities for students.

It was a very good experience. I did not only study at the universty but did an internship during the semester break. Thus, I could really get to know the English culture. If you stay at the university only, you'll probably meet more international students than English. Studying there was great - very independent. I simply loved it. The city itself is not too beautiful. There are many nice areas nevertheless. Maybe too few green spots. High unemployment rate and therefore the crime rate is high, too.
