Well, it wasn't really a surprise, as it was known before but the tuition fees are very high. In general there are a lot of student discounts available (cinema, record shops...) through the NUS card, which costs £1

Overall
I wish I had known...
I wish I had known a bit more about Hull itself, as it isn't the prettiest of towns and the university.

In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
In the last few months there have been a lot of changes in the university. For example the main campus will soon be in Lincoln and the administration wasn't always of any help. So it is very nice to be here but because of those changes I wouldn't really recommend it.

Final comments
To sum things up one might say that Hull is a real student town and it's charm can be dicovered, even if it seems difficult to see it at the beginning. Oh, and everything people say about British wheather.....IT'S TRUE!

Most students probably go to the "LA's" nightclub, which has student nights on thursdays. The "hull Fair", which takes place in October is an event not to be missed.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I would choose to stay at the same accomodation because I had a good experience in the first place, apart from the costs.

Personal comments
The accomodation services the university provides are alright, as they give addresses to students who want to organize their accomodation themselves. A bit more help from the home university would have been an advantage.
