The nightlife is boring :) In Oklahoma people are very conservative and the law is very stricted

It is a great university, you will find great courses and good teachers. It is a good choice, but outside of the university there is nothing interesting in Oklahoma

Try to travel, it is cheap with other students. I recommend you Florida in Spring Break, New York and New Orleans in Mardi Gras. Don´t stay all time with people from your country. Only speak English, forget your native language during this experience. Try to be envolved in the social life, the university offers you plenty of things to do.

University Online while living abroad.

Overall
The online university is very helpful and useful for setting up classes and are good about letting me turn in work early or a little late because of the time change. The teachers are helpful with questions and are available for video chat. It's almost, almost like being in Norman.

Dear student have fun in your exchange programm. it is a very good apportunity to meet another cultural back ground than you are used to. there is very tips that you will be able to collect from other people, but the mean thing is to to try to find out things by your selfs. that will rais you self confidance. one more thing please drop classes on time before you get an F, if you didn't do it. i wish you a good stay enjoy it

The university offers you the possibility of living in dorms or apartments on campus. The best choice is living in aparments, it is cheaper. The only problem the year I was there was that many students wanted this option and there were not enough apartments for everybody, and we had to share room.

Money from home
Personal comments
Conversion rates sometimes give you surprises. Best idea to bring money from home: get yourself a US bank account with a visa debit card, then use your visa from home to buy something and return the goods but present your US card. It is the fastest way, and there are NO commissions

If you want to travel , buy a car, they are cheap, even if for from one place to an other in your own city, you have to have one because everything is so spread out.
