The fact is that, here in Ottawa (Canada), people speak both French and English. As I'm French and I spoke English before coming, it was not a problem!

All the bars and clubs are very nice, but I recommend you F&S, Sins, Fire stations and the fireworks in September and during Christmas time.

The downtown area has lots of bars, pubs and cafes. Also some good museums and it's vey pretty by the river in summer and winter.
