Personal comments
Most of the textbooks I used I borrowed from the library, which saved me a good amount of money. I could always count on being able to borrow the books and they were almost always available immediately. The management school has a nice facility that helped me save a lot of money on copies and prints. You just need to buy the copy paper (about 2 pounds for 500 sheets, you could share a package with a fellow student) and use the printers for free! At the time I was there, this was only possible at the management school, as far as I know.

Studying in the Europubhealth+ program with the first year at the University of Sheffield. Teaching style can be lecture-based but the faculty is looking at innovative ways to incorporate students in teaching. Great place to live, very affordable

Personal comments
The most difficult thing was to communicate with English people in daily life, especially in very loud areas like the train station or in a cafe. The Sheffield accent is really hard to understand. Many English people speak accents, which are hard to understand for foreign people. If you as a foreign student try to read university magazines, you probably won´t understand a lot, because they are written in slang and most of the foreign students have been taught a high level of language.

Academic
Course recommendations
I really enjoyed the courses at Sheffield University, especially one called "Language&Organisations". The other two modules I took were "Organisational Behaviour" and "Business Strategy", which were excellent as well. All these modules were taught at the Management Department and I was very happy about my choice of courses.

Interaction with teachers
Interaction with international students
Interaction with local students
Personal comments
As I indicated above, the interaction with the local students was rather sporadic. At my home university at that time (CBS) we had a "buddy"-arrangement which offers international and exchange students a source of contact to a local student throughout their stay in Denmark. The local student would thus pick up the guest student at the airport and make sure that they settled in allright, and so on. This sort of concept might help bridging the gap between exchange and local students in Sheffield as well. Besides this, academic life in Sheffield lived fully up to my expectations.
