Housing
Type of housing: Dormitory
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: the same place if staying as an exchange for 1year
Why?
because if I was there for longer time than 1year I would need to meet people who stayed there also for more than a year. otherwise, I couldn´t stand a situation where I met new people every year(exchange students)and not the same friends. In the dormitory where I lived in, there were 90% of exchange students that left at the end of the academic year and won´t come back to study anymore.

the accommodation was generally very good. the single unsuit rooms are very very small, I could say tinny rooms. The price is expensive. the location is good considering that it is half way from the uni and half from the city-center. furniture of the room, kitchen and laundry are in good conditions.

when you are at the student village you can profit from living with a whole lot of students. however, you are far from the city centre, thus, from shopping facilities, pubs, clubs... when you live in an appartment you are close to both, city centre and university. for me, this choice had been the best.

Independent, you get to choose when what happens in the house, and you don't have to be worried about supervisors constantly looking over your shoulders.

As far as I can judge, accommodation at the university was pretty well arranged, there were appartments on campus, there were appartments in a student village about ten minutes by bus from the university. And all were in a clean state. price ranges were between 40 to 70 pounds a week depending on whether lunch and/or dinner was included.

It was a huge house with independent bedroom and with shared kitchen and living room. It was a great experience for me to live with people coming not only from Wales but also from other countries

The accomodation in the Student Village is very comfortable, even it is far away from the Campus there are good bus linkages. Above all it is a very International Village and this is very stimulating!

I am happy with my choice. It has been great to share a house with people of other nationalities even if I would have preferred at least a English to share the flat with us.
