Overview:
Our Graduate Sales Traders are an integral part of our Execution team, learning about the overall Execution offering at Rothschild & Co, developing sales and networking skills, and undertaking relevant professional qualifications. They are expected to support our Senior Sales Traders in providing tailored products for individual client requirements.

We provide institutional investors with equity research, quantitative and technical analysis, economics research and agency execution in European and North American equity markets and serve corporates via our Equity Capital Markets division. In addition, Rothschild & Co Redburn Access also links investors to experts and corporates.
Rothschild & Co Redburn's equity research analysts and salespeople advise professional investors (our clients) on European and US equities. Our sales traders and execution teams transact our clients' business, and Rothschild & Co Redburn's expert access team links investors to Rothschild & Co Redburn's network of industry executives and independent experts. Our equity capital markets team provides investment banking services to clients and focuses on assisting them in raising equity capital.
Role Overview
Execution encompasses a number of different roles that interact closely with each other but have their own disciplines and specialisms.
Our sales traders are focused on providing market insight, news flow and promoting Rothschild & Co Redburn's product, tailored to individual client requirements. Our sales traders work on behalf of our clients alongside the rest of the execution team to deliver excellence.
Technology plays a big part in the execution landscape and Rothschild & Co's algorithmic team service specific client requirements.
Underpinning all of our graduate roles is the need for a genuine interest in financial markets, high levels of communication, accuracy and attention to detail, great relationship building and teamwork skills.
As part of the role, you may expect to:
* Provide high touch sales trading services to allocated clients
* Deliver an exceptional service to clients and trade on their behalf
* Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients
* Identify new clients/prospects for Execution Services products
* Maintain excellent relationships with the rest of the Redburn Execution Services team globally
* Provide market insight, news flow, and promoting the Redburn product, tailored to individual client requirements
* Communicate with the Sales team to ensure efficient client coverage
* Ensure Redburn's client relationship teams are kept updated with Redburn's clients' activity and interests
* Advise and help coordinate delivery of Low Touch & US Shares execution, as well as other Redburn services to clients
Qualifications, experience and competencies
* Completed 2:1 or equivalent in your university degree
* Genuine interest in finance with good commercial awareness
* Creativity and assertiveness
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills
* Self-confidence: ability to interact with employees of all levels in all departments, and with clients
* Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
* Ability to demonstrate intellectual flair, independent thinking, initiative, self-sufficiency and ambition, with a passion for equity markets
This role is a controlled function under the FCA rules. Employees must obtain and maintain certification in order to be employed in a controlled function
