This is a high-impact leadership role with full accountability for translating global category strategy into locally relevant execution that delivers strong in-year results while building long-term competitive advantage.
You will lead category strategy, brand activation, innovation, and commercial execution across multiple markets, working in close partnership with Sales, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain, and Global Category teams. The role requires strong strategic judgment, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead through complexity in a matrixed organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Category Performance and Growth
* Own LATAM category performance, balancing short-term delivery with long-term portfolio health.
* Translate global category strategy into clear, locally relevant plans grounded in consumer and market insight.
* Define the LATAM category plan, including portfolio shape, activation priorities, and execution standards.
* Identify and prioritise the biggest growth opportunities across markets and channels, eliminating low-value activity.
* Lead the performance rhythm across the region, including targets, forecasts, reviews, and corrective actions.
Drive Brand Activation, Investment, and Commercial Execution
* Lead end-to-end activation across pricing and promotion, media, retail execution, and digital commerce.
* Define how global campaigns and brand assets are localised for LATAM consumers while protecting core brand equity.
* Make disciplined investment choices and trade-offs in partnership with Sales/Commercial Excellence and Finance.
* Ensure robust tracking of return on investment and commercial impact across markets.
Lead the Category End-to-End Across LATAM
* Act as the senior category voice for LATAM, contributing insights and performance learnings to global forums.
* Own the regional innovation pipeline, partnering with Global Category, R&D, and Supply Chain to prioritise, accelerate, and land launches successfully.
* Lead and develop senior brand and category leaders across the region, strengthening capability, culture, and ways of working.
* Align local market marketing teams to a clear category construct and shared execution standards
Why you?
Experience
* Senior category or marketing leadership experience within FMCG or Consumer Health, with end-to-end ownership of strategy and execution.
* Proven accountability for significant P&L and commercial outcomes, including forecasting, investment planning, and performance management.
* Strong track record in setting priorities across multiple markets, brands, and channels to deliver growth.
* Experience leading innovation pipelines from prioritisation through to launch, in close partnership with R&D and Supply Chain.
* Demonstrated success operating in complex, matrixed organisations with senior stakeholder influence.
Capabilities
* Category vision and strategic choice-making: Ability to articulate a clear category vision and translate it into decisive execution.
* Consumer and market insight: Deep understanding of consumers, customers, and competitors, with the ability to course-correct quickly.
* Commercial excellence: Strong command of pricing, promotion, media, retail execution, and digital commerce.
* Matrix leadership: Ability to lead through influence, build alignment, and drive accountability without direct authority.
* Pace and adaptability: Comfortable making decisions in ambiguity and responding to rapidly changing market conditions
