What you'll do:

Summary:

We are looking for a senior Product Manager to lead the transformation of publicly funded AI research initiatives into scalable, market-ready software products that strengthen Europe's technological sovereignty over the next 3-5 years.

The Role:

As Product Manager, you will own and drive a portfolio of AI-enabled products developed within a European funding program. You will be responsible for shaping product strategy across the full lifecycle-from early research and prototyping through industrialization, go-to-market, and scaling into production environments.

You will operate at the intersection of research, engineering, policy, and commercial teams, ensuring that funded innovation translates into sustainable, customer-ready products aligned with European market needs. This role requires close collaboration with internal funding project management team, internal development teams, external research partners, ecosystem players, and public stakeholders throughout the duration of this multi-year program.

Your responsibilities include defining product vision and roadmaps, validating market fit, steering prioritization across long-term innovation streams, and ensuring that resulting products deliver measurable business and ecosystem value beyond the funding period.

What you bring:

You are a great candidate for this position if you are thrilled to deliver under pressure in a complex environment and bring the following background:

* Proven experience leading complex software or AI products from early research or incubation stages into production, adoption, and commercial scale

* Strong track record of owning product vision, roadmap, and execution in multi-year horizons

* Solid understanding of AI-driven products, data-centric systems, and platform-based architectures

* Experience defining commercialization strategies for emerging technologies, including pricing, bundling, partnerships, and ecosystem models

* Strong customer and market orientation, with the ability to validate demand and drive adoption for future-oriented products

* Comfortable operating in complex stakeholder environments involving engineering, research institutions, business leaders, and public bodies

* Able to navigate ambiguity, long innovation cycles, and evolving regulatory and market conditions

* Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and responsibility for long-term product success

* Fluent communication skills in English and German are strongly required.
